WRITING ESSAY
The process to write paragraph
Writing, particularly academic writing, is not
easy. It takes study and practice to develop this skill. For both native
speakers and new learners of English, it is important to note that writing
paragraph is a process, not product. Process writing is useful when writing on
history, business, the science, psychology, and many others area, it is
necessary to understand and to know how the process to write paragraph.
First,
choose a topic that is not too narrow(limited). A narrow topic will not
have enough ideas to write about. For example, the ages of my brothers and
sister is too narrow. Second, choose a topic that is not too broad (general). A
broad topic will have too many ideas for just one paragraph. Most paraghraphs
has five or ten sentences. For instance, university entrance exams, popular
school club.
Third, prewriting process is brainstroming.
Brainstroming is a way of gathering ideas about a topic. For example, thousands
of drops of rain, all coming down together and write down every idea that comes.
Although, the brainstroming activities may seem unnecessary at first, after
doing that for a few time, it will realize usefull. Brainstroming for ideas can
start writing more quickly and save the time of the writing procces. Then,
three useful brainstroming techniques are making a list and freewriting. Make a
list are write single word, or sentences that are connected with the topic and
freewriting is acticivity which is write freely about a topic just five or ten
minute. So, brainstroming will be helps students to write quickly and easily.
Next, write a topic sentence. The topic
sentence is the most general sentence in a paragraph, and it express the
central focus of the paragraph. Then, make an outline. Outline is a formal plan
for a paragraph, learners who write they can write down the main points and
subpoints that want to write. Next, try to write a paragraph and the end of
paragraph with a concluding sentence. The last process is do the editing. Read
it carefully, looking for mistakes style, grammar and punctuation, some writers
should read out loud or having a friend
read it oud, until they have not find error. Editing is crucial part of the procces
not an optional extra.
In conclussion, writing in a new language can
be a difficult skill to develop and it is often not regarded as high priority
in modern communicative language classroom. Good paragraph prompts allow
learner to write about what they know and like. So, their focus can be on the
writing procces. After knowing the process of writing paragraph, learners can
increase their writing skill. Learner can take
advantage of the opportunity to write wherever they can and will be more
well.
